    Wip Tectonic Beginnings.

    Hello.

I've drawn a few maps to start building my world, but I realized I jumped in way too fast; and though it was good practice it wasn't making much sense! so here I am at the very beginning.

I've been doing some research this afternoon, but I want to get this bit right, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Here is a sketch laying out the tectonics. I'm now off to learn about subduction...

OK, I've tried to set out four categories for the tectonic boundaries.

    Green - Transform Fault
    Red - Rift Boundary
    Blue - Subduction Zone
    Purple - Convergent Boundary

There is something funny about the north pole. It is contracting, you likely need to change the direction of one of the arrow but I could be wrong (see pictures below). You can have a better idea of the situation with an orthographic projection centered on the north and south pole below. It is made with Gprojector, in case your wondering : http://www.giss.nasa.gov/tools/gprojector/

Thankyou Azelor! This is the kind of thing I am completely naive to, hopefully I will be able to sort this one out with a bit more understanding.
