    Default Hey there, guys

    Hello,

To introduce myself: I'm Logi and I'm doing forum-based role-playing. As you can guess, I do like RP a lot and I also love the site I'm rping. Recently we have talked about maps for the site and I volunteered to draw a map.

I thought: Hey, why don't you try to find a map creator? Well, I searched and didn't find anything (for free that is) but then I saw your site and thought: Hm, learning about maps? Why not?

That's why I registered and I'm already reading your Quickstart Guide^^

Welcome to the Guild Logi! You have come to the right spot. The Quickstart guide is an excellent place to begin. Look forward to seeing what you come up with. Don't be shy about creating a WIP thread when you finally begin your project. You will be sure to receive helpful advice and constructive feedback if you do so.

    Cheers,

Hello Logi, Welcome to the Guild!

Once you've read the Quickstart Guide to Fantasy Mapping, I recommend Hand Drawn Mapping for the Artistically Challenged: http://www.cartographersguild.com/sh...ad.php?t=10655

Once you have completed those two tutorials, you'll be well on your way!!

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I will do that. I've already prepared a map with MS-paint, but of course that's just a prototype. I'll look for a program and start on it soon.
