Default The Kingdom of Illyria - first finished map post

    Hi all,

This is my first post outside of new member introductions.

    Created with: Illustrator & Photoshop

The world is based loosely off of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night only in a slightly more modern setting. It does borrows a few names such as: Florin and Alberia (The Princess Bride and Howl's Moving Castle respectively) as well as several town and city names.

Very well drawn and well painted. I like these clean and simple maps.

Very clean work indeed. I would just have worked the borders a little more (some more fading effect or a dashes between the two colors perhaps).
The rivers are very well done and you've done a great job in choosing the fonts.

Very nice! I'd probably go for dashes between borders, as Ilanthar suggested, and maybe lighten the value of the colors on the shield some to make it more readable, but it's really a great map. Thanks for sharing it, iboyle!

This is great and would print well. Did you do the colored borders with a photoshop brush or with a real world marker?

@jayharchitect, the colored borders were achieved in Photoshop with watercolor brushes and a pressure sensitive tablet.

And thank you everyone for you feedback!
