Thank you everyone who has commented. I'm very encouraged. As some have suggested, I am thinking of getting a deviantart account. I just have to explore the site and see how to send 50mb files to them! I have explained a bit about the world in my new finished map post, 'Segridia'.

I've just realized I'm doing something wrong. On the list of different threads under 'Finished Maps' forum, everyone has an attachment symbol and most have a little pencil gif across from their names. Mine doesn't. What are these? How do I make my map appear as a thumbnail within my post?

The 'pencil' gif is a tag symbol. When you start a map thread you can add tags and that's what that little blue thing is showing - that they have tagged their thread.
The attachment symbol is there because they uploaded a map to their thread. I believe you have uploaded to a map folder here on the guild and then just linked to it.
That would be why yours does not show an attachment symbol and why your image does not show in your thread.

One of the Community Leaders, or CLs for short, could give you more assistance than me, just a regular member.

Wow! That is just mind blowing. I haven't done anything this detailed by hand since learning drafting in school. The amount of pencil sharpening!!! Good work!
