Love the idea, this could be a great and funny map!
And what you have done so far looks nice, the font fits great. Just add a a hint of some weird creature making its way through the swamp, that would look awesome..at least to me
Here is my version of the stereotypical wizard tower. I thought about, what is the "condition of possibility" for a proper wizard tower. Since a nice cozy dungeon to crawl, is one of the (if not THE) defining feature of a wizard tower in rpgs, i wondered what are doing those wizards who's tower is located in a swamp? With such a tower, even the cruelest wizard has to face the scourge of mankind: A damp cellar!

For the background, i was inspired by Max's wonderful parchment mini-tut. I made it yesterday and started working on the linework today, after i knew, i could make an own version of a wizard tower for this month's lite challenge.
I started sketching the mountains and foothills, and came up with a tower i'm quite happy with for now (you know i'm a "flip-flopper", so we'll see if it stays like this ). The rest of the landscape is more of a placeholder and will need some rework.
In the next update i'll add some lore about Zorghul and his home...
As always, i welcome every critique, comment, suggestion, etc.
Cheers,
AL

Thanks everyone for the feedback, much appreciated! Sorry i didn't reply earlier...
Yeah, ofc groups of ambitious adventurers should get some trouble crossing the swamp ... I'll definitely put something evil in there!
Haha, yes i already tuned into some high theory "Wizard-speak". It's fun to think about how the kantian "Analcharakter" Zorghul would handle a profane problem like a damp cellar ... The stacks of old university papers HAVE to be saved from mold infestation!
At the moment i'm still working on the (relatively) dry floors above water level ... and thanks a lot for sharing some further english adjectives, they'll be helpful!
So here is the

- I changed the landscape around the tower and added some color
- Decided to place the entrance on the 1st floor, since Zorghul's tower was not originally build as a bourgeois city-wizard-tower but as a donjon/keep /Bergfried. So i had to add a wooden staircase
- Started drawing the floors. I already furnished and colored the ground floor (kitchen) as an example for the rest. Here is the trapdoor to the cellar...

Just a small update. I tweaked some linework, wrote lore and rearranged the overall layout. Also added a border and some watermark like arcane symbols.

I love that little tower. It's gorgeous! Your story is a lot of fun too, though "rumours of missing cats".... hmmph, it's always the cats who suffer
But seriously, this is looking great and I'm enjoying watching you bring it all together.
