    Good thinking Steffen.
    Stealthy like a ninja! Thanks!

I actually really like the idea of getting the circle all around the continent. It actually fits well too with the setting, the capital city being a Pole (let's say magic)
I'll play with this tomorrow, for sure
And I've no problem getting rid of the compass rose, even if it was a lot of fun doing it
Thanks for the proposal, it opens new a perspective !
No problem! =) I'm excited what you come up with and just be glad I can be of help!

    Best wishes, Steffen

Dang, man. This is just a hands-down great map. That's all I got. (Although i love Steffen's 'integrated compass rose' idea and will have to steal it myself. )

Thats what we are here for, Diamond! Getting inspired - and I learned so much from you guys, too! =)
I used this one time myself where I came up with the idea, connecting the continents with lines and set the focus to the main continent here (below). I Also used this in another project I'm currently working on, but this is not yet published.

    Here we are!
Jumped into your idea Steffen. Thanks for it!
I believe it's more appropriate, sober, if I may say.

Will it be the ultimate final version?
I would be short of adjectives for final otherwise...

Those rivers through the forests look much better now! I just see one place (to the left of the label La Rogance) where a river in a forest seems to end abruptly at the forest edge instead of continuing in the open.

    The coloring looks great!

Very nice, I also like that you rounded the 67° (etc.)! =)

Two little things I noticed I would check:
    - Are you on the right layer with the compass? It seems that they are on the second oceanic coast indication. I think you did this because you don't want this visible on the seas enclosed by land on the continent, but qou could easily just fade out near land as well.
    - I uploaded another thing I encountered with this style: The small bits are weird. Yes, they would be right to be in there, but it looks better without IMO. Especially if you fade out (as mentioned above) you could just get rid of them. I indicated them on the upload here.

Let me know what you think =)
    Best wishes, Steffen

Just for showing that I actually grab all the good ideas

... and I see what you mean by the lack of river.
Yep, the river stops abruptly. It's supposed to be be the source of that river. The original B/W map (from the 1st illustrator) didn't provide any explanation but I think I will add at least a bunch of hills.
That said, the colors on the trees in that specific area seems unpolished. I'm gonna fix that as well.
    Thanks for the eagle eye

Oh, one thing I forgot before: I would cut the small section of lines out where you put in the 90°, 67°, etc. just between the two circles. =)

Now, I do believe I'm blind

Good point(s) ! For this one and the previous one. I actually used a layer mask to do that simply and (too) quickly ^^
