    Map Westeros (quick commission)

A colored map of Westeros, done in a bit of a Jared Blando style for a forum game, on a budget. Focus was on the borders and the locations rather than on the geography, so I was stingy with the labels.

Nice map, Wired! Very cool mountains and pleasant style. I'm not so fond of the deciduous forests and - but that may be eye fatigue - some icons seems brighter than others.

    Thank you!
Yeah, the deciduous forests... I just cannot seem to find a style that suits me, so I keep trying out different approaches again and again, with varying levels of success and satisfaction. You have no need to doubt your eyesight, though. The grunge brush setting I used for the coloring had some hue and saturation jitter as well as an (*goes back and checks*) 8% foreground/background jitter, and I added a texture layer on top of that. It was never going to be uniform.

I here you Wired, I'm currently trying a new style of forest and have tried about 4 or 5 so far, without much success, Forest are the hardest for me. Your Hills and mountains are great. Not sure the outer ring of light blue water and the horizontal waves lines are working together? Could the lines be over top of the light blue? Anyway nice job and good luck with those forest.
