Hehe I qualified Wilbur more neutrally as "having a steep Learning curve"
Yet if you are stubborn enough to invest time in it and keep on learning, you obtain a very flexible and powerfull mapping program. The only thing it lacks is a good texturing/coloring module. That's why it generally needs postedition with Gimp.
In any case there is nobody and Nothing that can do better rivers than Wilbur.

Regional mapping section is the place to post your WIP (assuming it's a larger area map, not a city map). Looking forward to seeing your work. Don't be shy about posting, even if it's at a very basic stage. I'm looking forward to seeing what you're working on.
You've made me think about all the projects I gave up on. In the beginning I did allot of coastlines using the difference cloud method I found in the start of the atlas style map tutorial. And that's as far as I got on most of them, I have several files which only contain a black sea and white landmass which I never moved forward on... Maybe I should revisit them, I might see them now in a different light.

I'm definitely shy about posting anything, maybe that's why I'm spending all my time now rambling on and on here. Thanx for letting me know where to post.

I just have one more question to any one who might tell me the best way to prepare my file for uploading to the site.

The file I'm looking to get help with is a 5000 by 3513 pixel PSD, with a resolution of 300.

What I'd like to know is what is the best image size, and file type to upload it to this site with.

Steep learning curve lol I thought gimp had a steep learning curve, and PhotoShop. I've spent several years playing around with them, and still feel I've only scratched the surface. Tho I might have to check out Wilbur again as I'm having tons of trouble trying to figure out rivers, mind you I haven't made it past finishing mountains on any map that I've started so I think I'll start there.
