Thread: The Hyborian Age

I'm not a river expert, so I'll defer to those who are, but I do have a question about one of the rivers here.

It looks as if the Bakhr River is a tributary to the Styx where they meet, but on the southern end of the Bakhr it becomes a delta feeding the Purple Lotus Swamp and Lake Zuad, with something of an Okavango flavor. Assuming the Bakhr can't flow in two directions at once, how is it splitting off from the Styx?

I'd say it's flows out from the Purple Lotus Swamp not into it. I think that isn't so much a delta as it is saturated ground resulting in what appear to be separate flows but really are the same body of water. That would be my interpretation anyhow.

    Thank you, guys!

Falconius is right, if flows from the Swamp, not into it.

This map is great in many ways, as it is massive and detailed, yet clear. Aestehtically, it is a pleasure to be seen.
I like the overall style really much; maybe, regarding mountains and forests, I like more the style of your old Hyboria map; but for the rest, I like more the new one.
A matter of tastes, of course.
    A great job!

Very smooth style, easy on the ways but still impressive. I love it!

Great detail. Do you have more to the world it is set in yet?
