    Hey Max, that's great.

This is just a minor update, really. Once in a while I go back an review some of my older maps, and sometimes I decide to edit them a bit, make minor adjustments; not that I actually post this here, but since I thought my original post had some how disappeared (meaning this thread, and also, it hadn't), I posted a new thread with this updated version of my map. Like I said, minor adjustments, mostly just icon placements and labels.

Daelin, amazing map! Honestly among the best I've seen!

If you could explain to me (in summary) how you achieved that compass rose and those lines flowing from it; and how you got that border to look so damn fine, I'd appreciate it!

    Fantastic!

I suppose vector graphics editors like Illustrator or Inkscape would be the tool of choice for making things like my compass rose and border which consists of a lot of simple geometric shapes. But as I have no skill whatsoever at those applications, I used Photoshop. It's basically the only graphics app I know how to use. I used the path tool extensively to draw by, so I guess I kinda used vectors, but it probably took much longer than it should have. One technique to reduce time-consumption, though, is to draw an element once and then just copy-paste and rotate that around a central axis for however many times you need.

Amazing work. The texture of the map and all the little elements are very pretty. Repped.
