I'm normally one of those people who don't like the cognitive dissonance of seeing top-down elements mixed with isometric elements, but your drawings of the moose are so cute that I'm won over.

Concerning the perspective question, a lot of map are avoiding it by "circling" the elements (like the cabin and the animals), making them close-up in a different view.

So lovely, I on the other hand like mix of iso/top-down. Everyone to their taste I guess... ^^ The colours feel peaceful too!
