Hey that's cool, could be useful!
Hey guys! I made something for a future map, but I decided to share it here since i didn't find that many of these online, and the ones I did find were far too short.

If everything works right, this should be a transparent image with small lines. Just open with PS/Gimp and have fun

Thanks for this! I use these semi-regularly, and I've always wanted a really large one like this.
That seems quite a bit faster than the couple of hours I spent manually doing in the lines x)
Reminds me I need to pick up on more software!
Glad you can enjoy it
This is great, thanks! I had occasion to want one of these for equatorial view recently, and couldn't find anything big enough, so if you are in the mood, I'll bet an equatorial one would also be very welcome
I think you could simply use Gprojector and make a grid (with the map of Earth) with almost any projection.
This is great! I know this is really off-topic, but... Does anyone know how I can convert my own map (http://www.cartographersguild.com/sh...504#post289504) to another projection? The current one should be Lambert's.
Check out my portfolio!
This has map projections from a rectangular map: http://maptoglobe.bitbucket.org/

Qgis
the GUI for the Georeferencing will have you select a mapping format and create a list of " lat / long = x/y " by point and click and typing in the lat / long for that pixel
you have grid lines already , so about 10 min. of work should be all that is needed
( once you run through the tutorial on the qgis web site )
