Here's a version of the Middle-earth map but converted to tinted and grayscale.

Not sure which version is better but it's a good idea to test this when converting to grayscale.

It light also be a good idea to convert certain layers separately - depending on the colors. The title for example get a bit too dark in the lasy examople.

Made with the grayscale tool in Photoshop (with a tint):
    Middle-earth_11b_tint.jpg

    Just converted to greyscale:
    Middle-earth_11h_50_grayscale.jpg

Converted to grayscale with the adjustment tool:
    Middle-earth_11h_50_grayfix.jpg

Nice work @Carnifex. I was curios to know, have you done any "extensions" on middle earth maps? I havn't seen that yet. It's probably in the realm of fanfiction though.

What do you mean by extensions?

Going beyond the edges, like making your own additions. I have always wondered what was beyond this region.

I am not a lotr expert. There are some maps of the whole world. Don't know if they are official or not (anyone who does?). Otherwise I think its cool to be a cartographer and to interpret works- and maybe redraw or add stuff.
