Very fresh and cool style! Looks a bit like some old atlas with a special touch. Great job!

I am astonished. Well, it could be a little more intelligible, but the level of complexity is marvelous. I don't doubt I'll come back to it many times, maybe to analyse and learn something, maybe just to admire. Could you unveil some of the secrets about the creation proccess? Mostly, how did draw the coastline so realistic or painted those heights and shades?

    Info

Thank you very much everyone for your comments It is really encouraging for me

It's right that there is some work behind this map.
To reveal a bit about the process of creation, I have used SRTM data from NASA to create the base of the map.
The process is the following :
    - basic drawing of the map (only some lines for coastline, main valleys, main mountains, ...)
    - a lot of research on SRTM data to identify zones interesting to construct the map,
    - rendering process of SRTM data (shading, natural coverage, ...) with GIS tools,
    - A big amount of compositing in Photoshop to assemble everything.

The rivers, borders, roads, cities and labellings have been performed in Inkscape
Next, another big amount of layers and groups in PS for the paper texture and ageing.

The following map (Ekundu territories) is on the way. I hope to finish it next week.

    Excellent map!
I'm a big fan of such kind of stuff, great satellite map effect. Nevertheless I feel the lack of a proper map scale. How large is that region?

For the lack of scale, it is more or less voluntary.
But your comment reminds me that I have to think more about this...

The scale is 1 pixel = 1 league (and 1 league in this world is equal to 1 kilometer ... I know I'm a lazy man )
So this map is about 3350 km wide and 2100 km high.
