Hi,

New to the forums. Found you guys and gals from mentions on youtube videos I've been viewing about map making. What a great site this is. I've been lurking around for a few weeks and finally decided to join and post. I've been once again bitten by the map making bug, I haven't really made any maps since my AD&D days many years ago and those were all hand drawn. Been trying things out using an old copy of Photoshop Elements I've had for years that I used for photos.

It's been a lot of fun and would like to get advice. Not sure how to post pictures, but will have to take a look around and see if I can figure it out.

Mainly I'm just working on fantasy maps for different story ideas I've had, some old some new. And maybe to help a buddy out who still does some gaming.

Anyway, thanks for such a great site and forums where we can all learn and share.

A good place to start for advice is a great tutorial in the sticky section of Tutorials, called

From there, go to

Once you have completed those two tutorials, you'll be well on your way!!
