Great map! The ruins and snow look really good (:

I like this map a lot!
The border seems just a little to saturated/bright, not quite a match to the rest of the map.
To me, the ovals are presumed to be covering only the obvious and not much of a problem. If there were plenty of room, I'd agree, move them, but since space is constrained, I think you've done it ok.
Great job!!

Absolutely lovely, beautiful color palette, inserts are stunning, nice job, have some reps. Not crazy about the arrows pointing. Great piece!!
I like the drawings of your cities, villages and mountains. Your style is gorgeous.
Your color palette is also great.
I'm agree with Lingon, Diamond, - Max - , and Chick about the position of the ovals.
Maybe the title and the text deserve a cartouche...
It's also a bit frustrating to have the island of Orden cut in half.
But fortunately there is your map of Lightbay and Orden (another great map)
Big thanks for the feedback everyone! Makes me really happy people like it.
Now, to answer some remarks.
Concerning the contrasts, I'm not certain what does it. The colors (apart from the snow) are about the same as usual, however, I have gone with a stronger texture blend, and the line work, at least on the building, is slightly border then I usually have it. Guess that explains it
About the ovals, I definitely get what people mean. Especially knowing the treasures that are hidden beneath them In many maps here I have seen similar zoomed features incorporated into the frame, which is kind of neat. However, I can also see a sort of functionality in having them like this when it comes to usage in a tabletop game. Because this way they are more incorporated in the map, and less a artistic feature.
And finally about arrows, text and cartouche. I agree on all points. Those kind of features were never my strong suit

This is a fantastic piece of art. It really has a lot going for it as an image, not just as a map.
Is "Baystol" spelled with an "e" like in the quote; or without, like in the title? :-)

Another great map Tainotim! I kinda agree with the others about ovals, but I love your cities and buildings, so.. Oh, and I of course like the nation colored flags a lot !
Thank you both! Oh, and good spotting on the spelling. Thanks
Cheers,
