Wonderful map,
The Colors, the contour lines, the labeling, everything is neat and clear.
Great job ! I like it.
Maybe the cartouche can be reduced in height to avoid cutting the 50° latitude line and overlapping a bit the small island.

This… is a world me and a friend conjured up while we got into a spontaneous Messenger-based roleplay session I then started writing a story and fleshing out the setting, and as a mandatory part of all my writing projects, a map of course had to be made. The style is inspired by early 1900's maps and the technique is a random mix of everything as usual

Very nice job on the contour lines. The colors are great. and the labeling really suits the piece. Fantastic job!

Very nice map Lingon!
Lingon,
Impressive results, much more detail than what I would ever put into a map. I'm not familiar with 1900 style maps, but if this is what they look like, then I'm in. Love how you mentioned that you had a story and you "had" to create a map for it - from imagination to something tangible. Love it!

This is gorgeous! I love those contour lines. They work fantastically well. I really like your labelling too. All in all, fantastically well done!

Thanks for the comments and rep everyone! Super happy you like it Regarding the cartouche cutting the latitude, yeah, that was pretty clumsy, will try to fix that before putting it in my portfolio. And about the 1900's style, well, I did take liberties, haha, just a bit of inspiration from that era, but they did some esthetically wonderful maps during the first half of the previous century in my opinion
All hail the great bloated pelican !
Seriously, this is really stunning. I love the subtle shading, the colours, the ideas behind the labels... everything in a word .
That looks beautiful! A very cool style of map.
The great bloated pelican doesn't come out as much in it now.
