New Server - possible downtime this week
Hey everyone, just want to give you advance warning of a server move that may result in some downtime.
Although it's not 100% confirmed yet, our web host has advised Robbie that the site should be moving to a new server later this week. We don't have precise information on when exactly this will occur, but obviously we'll get the word out as soon as we know more. However, if the site should go down unexpectedly in the next few days, that's likely the reason. If the downtime's going to last for any significant period, we'll try to keep you updated via the Guild's Facebook and Twitter accounts.
As soon as we have more info, we'll update this thread.

Hi folks, another update on the server upgrade....
OK, the upgrade didn't quite complete when we last posted about it, but there's more news today. Robbie says we should be transitioning over this week (hopefully!) The new server needs some configuration however, so it's possible there may be some downtime around Wed or Thu (9th or 10th) this week. Don't have any more info than that at the moment, but we'll try to keep you informed as best we can. Check Facebook and Twitter if there are any major problems.

I just got an email saying the move has been completed. I'm out and about in my phone right now so I'll do some verification this evening. But let me know if there's any obvious downers.

With fixing 'search'....
here are a few issues that we've had for a while
when trying to view from a person's profile - latest posts and latest started threads have been way out of date for a long time.
I assume that relates to search.
Also, trying to search a user name or a subject or title of map has resulted in some rather poor results for a good while.
Not sure what it would take for either to improve, but it would help ChickPea and I immensely with looking for maps to post on FB and Twitter.

Search is working now...granted it's a little less powerful...looks liek the creator of the sphinx search plugin has kinda abandoned it, so I switched back to traditional indexing which lost a little of the higher end functionality. Let me know if there's any other problems!
So far, it's an improvement on some search functions.
The 'last post' and 'started threads' seems to be back to normal. Thanks Robbie.

I have been getting the following error since Wednesday evening, 03/09/16: "502 Bad Gateway, nginx/1.4.4"
I have used both IE 11 and the latest Firefox, and my android on Wi-Fi and 4G. The same error occurs on all. I have also cleared my browsing history (cache) and rebooted my pc and modem. I have also attempted to access the site through my bookmark and through a Google search. So far, the only way that I can access the site is thru Tapatalk or the guild's Facebook group.
