There's a lot of great stuff in this map. I think you did an amazing job. Well done.
I love it (big surprise ^^ )! It has all the classical strengths of a D-Map (yes, that's a thing ). The only two things i want to mention: 1) i would like a better resolution to be able to zoom in more (details!) and 2) not sure i like the forest depiction...too sparse and the trees look too line-y (i know, weird word but i couldn't find a better one ).
If i can, I'll rep. you.

Thanks, you guys!
Wow, very cool!
Very nice!
Love the folded paper
Really awesome map Diamond! I love the subtle terrain features and bold text.
This is a fantastic map, Diamond... and I personally LOVE that gaudy frame!!! The hammered gold edging gives it a 3D look to it, you forget it's computer generated. It is computer generated, right? lol...
I also personally like the 'sparse' forest, although I think it would have looked even better if it didn't have such a straight edge to it, but I saw that you said it was a last minute thing, and it doesn't look bad, just not as natural looking. Of course, it has an old world feel to it (I love the old world feel), and most of those old world maps were more artistic renderings. In fact, this map reminds me of one my great granddaddy had hanging in his den, made by his great great grandfather who was a German cartographer in the late 1600's.
I would give you rep for this map... but 1) I don't have much rep... I'm new, and very few members ever comment on anything I've done... Of course, I haven't done much, yet. 2) I haven't figured out how to give rep yet.
I just want to comment once more about this map. I've heard a lot of the forest isn't so great comments but I have to say for some reason I think it actually fits. My reason being, when you look at the map, the forest is up north right at the base of some very arctic looking mountains. In those kinds of conditions the forests are usually sparse rather than the thick forests you see in places like Washington State in the USA. Alaska has the Taiga forest, which looks an awful lot like the forest in this map. It also reminds me of the Boreal forest in Russia, where the trees are sparse in places.
I just think we are used to seeing maps with lush forests on them just about every time someone makes a map. But in this case, even if it was an afterthought, I still think it fits. Again, I say well done!

Thank you guys, I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of your replies.
Great map and an inspiring border. I like the texture of the paper and the color scheme.
