This is actually amazing! Love the style you used for the mountains, they kinda look like major arteries. You say this is a quick piece of work, but... Wow!
Just a quick one with no story or anything. Not even a real portolan chart, it just sounds nice Started as a ballpoint pen sketch during a slow hour at work, scanned it and turned it to grayscale a while ago, and today I found it and felt like finishing it. Recycled a lot of names from earlier maps because I spent more time on the portolan lines than I was planning to put into the whole thing I'm quite fond of the mountain style, reminds me of old scars which is kinda fitting, it could be improved in a lot of ways but that's for another time The fonts are Powell Antique and Roman Antique Italic.

That's a beautiful map Lingon.
Great land shape - gives a feeling of movement.

That's lovely Lingon!

Thanks for the comments and rep, friends
Thank you! Yes, arteries, that works too… I've always thought of rivers as the arteries, bringing life to the soil, and mountains as scars from the clash of continents, haha. Glad you like it
Thanks Tilt!
Cheers, that's nice to hear, I always like to see movement in land shapes. Thanks!
Thanks Chashio! I said there was no story to this, but… yes. The Eleventh Majesty indeed has a history of destroying maps with his/her clumsy handling of the teacup.
Thank you Arsheesh!
I really like that land shape too. And the map is excellent! The mountains are intersting, but I would add something to distinguish the summits here and there.
Thanks Ilanthar! Yeah that's a good suggestion, also some more size variation I think would be an improvement.
