    Help Shattered Islands in Photoshop?

Would anyone know a decent way to make something similar to a shattered island type area in Photoshop? Everything I am trying ends up being too round or uniform.

Have you tried the cloud by difference trick?

You do it a couple of time and then select level (ctrl + L)
move the sliders of black and white to create the shapes of the islands

That is how I get my general island and continent shapes, and it works great. I'm looking for more of a jagged island look, like glass or ice that has been shattered into very sharp angular looking fragments.

Kind of like what Max did in his map of Telduria in the northern part reaching into the Great Ice Ocean. http://maximeplasse.deviantart.com/a...uria-467993282

Even with hand drawing it you can't get what you want?

I'd hand draw the shatters, or try taking a pic of something in nature and pull that into photoshop and use that for your shapes. Or if you like sweets - take a thin plate of chocolate and drop it - then record the shattered pattern and eat the chocolate after

    Info

I found a decent fractured glass style brush that works pretty well. I attached it here in case anyone else finds it useful.
