    Another effect that you might try is to use the Edge Striping filter with the attached bitmap and a width of 4 map units. It will give you the same-color outline as the original Schley template, but is immune to the effects of the fractalize operation. More complex bitmaps can also provide interesting effects.

    I might give the edge stripping a try, but I personally don't like the dark blue coastline. I worked really hard to get rid of that! but I will try it, perhaps with a different bitmap style. I'm curious to see what it will do. Would I add the effect to the coastline sheet or the land sheet?

    Add it to the LAND sheet. http://forum.profantasy.com/comments...cussionID=5280 shows use of some effects, including edge striping and color keying. I have a nasty habit of sticking with the effects that I wrote, but the other effects can also be useful. Admittedly, I wrote most of the obscure effects to solve a particular problem that I was having or get a result that I wanted. And then I went ahead and rarely used CC3...
