Reminds me a lot of J. Edward's style, which I assume you got inspiration from, yet with your own style to it. I absolutely love it!! The side view of the town is awesome too.

Out of curiosity how long did this take you?

I'm going to be drooling over this for a while.
    Thank you very much Josiah!!

I worked on this in the past 2 months, about 50 hours on concept+draw (the concept phase was very long, because when I try something new I'm always undecided about the style)
    basically like this:

Concept --> sketch --> draw --> realizing that I'm getting nowhere close to the initial idea --> curse words --> more draw --> stuck --> more curse words --> panic attack --> more draw and fix --> work completed

Thank you Tonnichiwa! the font I used is the one I created for my "graenlandir" map, but in all honesty, I'm not so happy about the "Windfoort" title, maybe it could be bettered, but I was tired..

    Awesome also the cobblestone roads!
Thanks! yes I did the lines manually, but just because I had no time problem, for bigger city maps the use of peen tool or similar is mandatory to speed up the process
About the cobblestone, I was about to discard that idea, but my girlfriend convinced me that was a too nice texture to discard!

Thanks! The side view was really tricky to do, and in fact (shhh keep the secret!) I forgot to add the chimneys..

    Looks great Tom.
I like the little area map in the top right.
    That adds value in there.

Sorry Tom, cann't rep you so soon again, beautiful map, love lots about it, the boardwalk around the wall, the tents had some personal charm, linework on the roofs, really nice job.

Great map. This may be my favorite town map ever.

One minor grammar error. The last sentence ends with "and the greedy of men". Two better options would be "and the greediness of men" or "and the greed of men". Either one works well. I try not to be the Grammar Police, but I assume English is not your first language so I thought I would help.

Splendid map, Tom! Lots of details, excellent light, good colors... And all the things around the map (side view, shield,...) adds a lot.

Thanks snodsy! but I didn't draw a boardwalk round the walls.. those are the walls itself, the brown one instead are the walls walkways.

Thank you Bogie!! No problem at all, you really helped! I totally missed that, as you say I'm not Eng. native speaker, so often I made mistakes I'm gonna change it right now

It's always wonderful too see new stuff from you Tom! Much has been said already by others i can only agree with. As alway, i'm a big admirer of your colorwork. Also the roof textures look splendid (two name just two of the many outstanding things on this map in my view). Have some rep! (Edit;: Damn i can't rep you again ... well, i'm sure there'll be a next time )
