Like Bogie, i find your forest awesome and inspiring. All your elements are well drawn but i think you can improve your mountains (simplification of the ridge perhaps). Waiting for your illustration, i envy your border frame. Really Nice work on this.

Okay, here's the final version !

Bit in a rush, hope I didn't forget anything...

So, as you can see, I did not edit the illustrations. I drew new versions of both the dragon and griffin, but they did not look good so the old ones stay. No time to do another version, sadly...

I'm proud of that map, but it does nots respect all the guidelines from the challenge. The proportions are off, it looks like a region map rather than a country map. And details are too small to be readable in a paperback...

Anyway, thanks for all your comments ! Forests were a huge pain to draw and shade, I lost hours on them... >__<

The border frame was hugely inspired by this pic http://previews.123rf.com/images/bah...hoto-world.jpg
And yeah, the ridge is a bit strange in some parts, but I did not have the time to correct it... First time doing those kind of mountains... :-/

Gorgeous update Loukana! The new shading works really well in the mountains, perhaps a little overdone on the dunes, but still lovely! The new shading on the illustrations alogn with the completed border goes nicely too and the whole overall colour scheme blends smoothly. Most of all though, though not new, I have to say again that your building drawings are beautiful!

Superbe. The shading is beautifull and add something unique to your map. Great challenge entry. Hope to see more of you.

Man, why do you guys make it so hard to vote every month????

This is really amazing, Loukana. The towns/cities/forts especially. This goes directly into my inspiration folder!
