Looking for a Tutorial

Hello,

I'm new and not sure if this is the best place for this, but I figured General Discussion was the safest place to guess. I'm looking for a tutorial first posted back in 2009 by Giddie - A conversion of Ascension's Atlas Style Tutorial from Photoshop to GIMP. I found the post here but the attached document containing the tutorial seems to have disappeared. My intention was to create an account to log in and message Giddie about this myself, but I can't because of a minimum 5 post rule before I can access the private messages.

So if anyone knows where I can find that tutorial, or if Giddie comes along and wants to point me to it I would be most appreciative.

I don't know which tutorial you are talking about, and I'm afraid I don't know Giddi. I can, however, do something you can't do right now... and that's post private messages. So let me post some for you, and see if we can't find you the help you need

Thanks a bunch. I've been playing around with trying to make this work in GIMP for a while, but seeing as how I'm pretty new to GIMP it wasn't going all that great. I got really excited when I saw that the tutorial existed and then I couldn't find it anywhere, so thanks again.

also keep in mind that in 2009 Gimp2.6.4 was the current ( released in Jan of 2009)

a bunch of things have changed a bit over the years

some menus in 2.8.16 are different
