I agree with Neyjour. This is a very lovely map indeed. The colors remind me a little of a watercolor piece. Impressive work for having been accomplished in such a short period of time.
I'd also agree with Neyjour about the font though. It doesn't seem to compliment the style/subject matter of the map. Dido for those end-border caps, I think hand drawn border caps would have been more in keeping with the overall style. Otherwise great work.

If I had to be nit-picky about anything, it would be that the font is a tad bit plain. But other than that, everything looks wonderful. Beautiful work!
I thought those compass lines looked too crisp and digital so I added a glass effect and I loved how it worked.

Thanks Thomas!That's fantastic Josiah ! Composition, linework and what a color theme ! It's a gem ! The only thing I can think of as a small critic would be that this style would have worked well with a little more ... substance, for lack of a better word, for the coastline. It lacks a little bit of depth as is. But it's a tiny detail, the map is really amazing !
And the backstory of the different location is the cherry on top of the cake

Yeah, I definitely think the border caps need to go.
I didn't spend a lot of time on the text and other finishing touches, I was trying to finish it up quickly.
