July 2016 Challange: Barbat, a ruined realm of volcanic peaks

[Scribbler's Emporium]

A torchlit corridor on the 12th level of the Dread Labyrinth of Chaos. A pack of cruel wights lurks here.
A library in the village of Defield, in a distant kingdom.
Mithlonde, an ancient plane of labyrinthine vaults and chambers filled with an oily odor. The plane is inhabited by a single powerful lich, who dwells in an ancient tomb filled with labyrinths and deathtraps.
Barbat, a ruined realm of volcanic peaks, poisoned lakes, and cratered battlefields. The realm is the domain of Alos, a demi-goddess of death, and is populated by chromatic dragons.
Aphum, an infernal plane of howling valleys, fields of blades, and seas of pitch. The plane is primarily populated by devils. The denizens of Aphum are at war with invading demons.
Somewhere on Ring Rise in the town of Gawic, in a distant realm. The street is crowded with a procession of the Architects Guild.
Edheren, a chthonic plane of endless rock and volcanic rifts. The plane is sparsely populated by dark elves.
Annamad, a savage world of rugged hills, vast wastes, and azure seas. The world is sparsely populated by kobolds.
The common room at the Crossed Swords inn, in the elven village of Llangoll, in a distant realm.
A torchlit passage on the 10th level of the Dread Barrow of Geberma the Crimson. A horde of ravenous ghouls lurks here.
