Aaagh!!! For some reason I'm having such trouble seeing the riverbed as it should be. For some reason my brain as reading it as a bevel upwards! Stupid brain! *me slaps himself in the face*
I'm confident it's fabulous though, everything else is. The mountains on the horizon are great. Right now it seems a bit empty/unfinished but the border and such should take care of that.

Thanks a lot Thomrey and Josiah!
No need for slapping Josiah, I'm just a beginner for this kind of thing and kinda see what you mean .

I don't have much time lately, but I've done a few tests today. No proper title yet and still a few things missing. Let me know what you think.

Oh, this is coming together very beautifully Ilanthar. The new light-purple tone and the sanctuary add a really Moebius like flair indeed! Great job with the linework overall. Smidhira is really cool. I also like the torn parchment, although i'm not too fond of the wooden textured background, it somewhat clashes with the very sketchy style of the rest, but it isn't diminishing the whole piece at all!

I second Abu on the wood, the transition between paper and wood is too crude for me. Appart from that, this is really good !

actually, I like the wood! It looks like an old parchment map layed out on a table. Maybe bring the wood out a bit more, and give it some kind of a bevel?

This map is looking great! I personally love the new colors.

Maybe you could add to some of those 'empty' spaces with a little scrub? Perhaps wilted or dead vegetation to really bring out the dried up river idea?

    overall, this is fantastic!

Lovely work, Ilanthar! The pink/purple tones are beautiful (I much prefer that to the original brown). And I love the tilted perspective and frayed scroll background. I really hope you'll be able to finish this in time. Hurry, hurry!

Thanks a lot everyone ! Your support and good advices are much appreciated.

Sadly, I don't have much time lately... So I just tried to change a bit the wood background to make it more "sketchy" but still keeping the idea, and I tried to correct the transition paper/table a bit.

    Ummmm.... Its gorgeous.

I think the colours and the composition are just absolutely lovely.... but, do you think lowering the horizontal part of the horizon just about 2-3 mm relative to the mountains might make the mountains in the extreme distance look even better?

Or it might just be my eye, and what I'm suggesting might be waaay too late in the process anyway *toothy apologetic grin*

EDIT: Or perhaps making the flat part of the horizon a bit less distinct like its disappearing into the infinity haze by blending the mauve and the blue rather than having a hard line at that point?
