I was thinking profantasy Mappers myself, but I'm also checking to see if we need permissions first.

Wow! Thank you Redrobes I was beginning to wonder just how I was going to manage this without help, now that my time has been limited and all.

We're holding a pow-wow over at PF right now to see if anyone objects to certain possible names. I'll get back to you as soon as we know

Don't want to go with Campaigning Cartographers?

Heeey - Waldronate are you joining?

I think that's an excellent name, by the way, but I think there are others being considered as well back on PF

I joined. Not sure how much I'll contribute since I'm not a CC user, but I'll watch with interest!

I think the vote is somewhat decided. Campaigning Cartographers sort of days.it all...don't you think?

You are joining us, aren't you Waldronate?

I've dabbled with ProFantasy CC3 and discovered it was not my cup of tea, but it did make me realize the graphics software I'd been using for the previous 7 years was ideal for creating maps, and I didn't need another application to do what I want (I use Xara Designer Pro, now version x11). I met the developer and Ralf Schiemman of ProFantasy at 2 different GENCONs (2007 and 2009, I think). I use to run an RPG map printing service (hence my forum name). Now I'm a tabletop RPG publisher and a professional cartographic illustrator. Back in 2010 I created 189 map objects for the ProFantasy Modern Map Symbol Set on commission (using Xara to create those symbols). I think a community for CC3 users is something the guild could definitely support, but no interest for me, personally.
