My first contribution

I know that stone and grass textures are probably a dime a dozen, but I felt that it was a bout time that I make my first contribution to the forum.
Both of these textures where made in adobe illustrator. The stone texture is easier to explain, but was more tedious to create. Each tile was made with the rounded rectangle tool, and then using the 'Artistic Effects' menu I applies the sponge texture several times until I was satisfied with how it looked. I did this for three 3x3 squares and tiled them together to make the final result you see.

The grass was made with two full page green squares on two different layers, the base had sponge effect, the top had photo grain. after merging the two, I applied the angled strokes effect. It looks very nice if you apply some burning to it in photoshop.
