I have handed the group leader baton to Waldronate. A fellow, not only of infinite jest and most excellent fancy, but who also happens to have written several of ProFantasy's apps (if not CC3 itself (I think...)) and so has a certain privilaged knowledge of its underbelly beyond anyone else on this guild.

I *think* you still do all the moderation alerting in the usual way using the little triangle icon below the post and I am not entirely sure what the leader baton gives you but most of us CL's and Admins have not used CC3 so it makes no sense for any of us to lead this group.

I for one think that's a splendid idea... not that you were in any way deficient at the job, Redrobes, but I think it just feels right that this group should really 'belong' to the man who made it all possible - one of the several giants on who's shoulders I stand

That could hurt. Walronate, Bogie and I along with a lot of other folks here are halflings, and we're only a little more or less than a yard tall.

I came up with a name for a group here. The Campaign Cartographer software is a product of:
    - Mike Riddle (the original FastCAD engine and lots of enhancements),
    - Simon Rogers and Mark Fulford (the original ProFantasy guys who brought the concept of FastCAD to the RPG market),
    - Ralf Schemmann (PF general manager, fellow who puts together the annuals, author of the installers, plus lots of other good stuff),
    - Peter Olsson (wrote most of the extensions that make Campaign Cartographer different from FastCAD),
    - L. Lee Saunders (wrote some of the CC enhancements like ESC and LTP),
    - Joe Slayton (wrote some effects plugins, fixed a few bugs)
    - a whole long list of documentation and tutorial authors (embarrassingly, whose names escape me at the moment),
    - innumerable testers,
    - a huge list of content authors who have lent their talent to the annuals and basic styles used in the product,
    - [insert names of anyone I forgot]
    - and (without whom it all wouldn't matter) the user base that continually supports the product.

I prefer to think of myself differently: "It has been said that the great scientific disciplines are examples of giants standing on the shoulders of other giants. It has also been said that the software industry is an example of midgets standing on the toes of other midgets." - Alan Cooper - About Face

Ok then waldronate one of the people who made it all possible

EDIT: Well all right then, if you really must insist... one of the midgets who made it all possible... except that I really have probably squashilated you all by standing on you now! Oh dear...
