Congrats on finishing your first piece TheCatGuy! I like the colors but I have to say that the image appears a bit faded and washed out. it's somewhat difficult to make out the details. Couple other things I'd mention. First, the mountains could maybe use a bit more detail, some depth maybe. Second, I'm not expert here but it looks to me like you have some issues with your rivers. As I understand, there's generally only one drainage river for lakes, you have three. Likewise rivers don't connect one coast to another, but since your lake has multiple outlets that's essentially what's happening here. Here's a thread where people have discussed accurate river placement in some detail.

    Cheers,

Hi TheCatGuy, I'll second arsheesh in saying congratulations on doing you're first map. I too enjoy the colours that you chose, but find them to be too washed out, and faded. I wonder, did you put some type of texture right over top the whole map? I don't know what programme you're using, but I'm wondering if changing the blend mode, and lowering the opacity of that layer might bring some life back to those colours, and make the whole thing more readable. It looks like you have some nice colours, and textures hiding underneath the white washed look...I'd love to see them.
