Hey, really cool map. I really love the textured waves in the ocean. Colors are also very good and the detail in the compass roses. Any hints on how you drew them?

Really, really love this one! The style of the mountains fits the map perfectly, and the 'wave texture' on the ocean is a nice touch. The landshapes are fantastic, very inspiring indeed. And the typography is also great, glad to see Optimus Princeps getting some love.

My only nitpick would be the colors. I personally would've perhaps made the land just a touch darker, or something like that... I'm not sure if that's just my eyes and/or my monitor, but the ocean and the land seem at places to sort of 'blend in' together, and I have little hard time making out especially the smaller islands.

That nit aside, a fantastic map overall!

Yeah, I seem to have a tendency to do that. I think maybe I have an aversion to high contrast between different elements, like land and sea, and so trying to correct that, I overcompensate and end up with slightly washed-out colors. It's a bit of a balance issue, and sometimes I just miss that by a bit. Oh well. But hey, thanks for the nice words!
