Heya everyone, the name's matt. Long time Lurker, everyone in a while I come by and steal some maps to use for my games and eventually I bought FM8 and tried it out,

Here's a map that I made for a dark sun setting in DnD

Hi Matt, welcome to the Guild and thanks for sharing your map with us. You've made a nice start here, though I'd love to see a little more shading or texture on the lands and seas, instead of just flat colour.

I'm not personally familiar with FM8 but I'm some other people in the forums will be, so if you need help with anything, just ask. Feel free to start a thread in the work-in-progress folders if you'd like some advice as you develop your maps.

That's an excellent starting map. It has that lush wasteland vibe that I would expect from a Dark Sun setting map.

I would love to learn how to do shading but i'm rather new to FM8, really hoping to go through some tutorials or learn something new to improve.

Ooh, that's a good idea, perhaps I'll post one of the maps I have in the works and ask for help.

Thanks waldronrate, I worked for a while on the map and i'm quite happy with it for a starting map Though again I would love to be able to improve!
