Thanks Tucker Omberg!
The idea of chopped down trees is really good!

I really like the wooden walls, and I feel like it adds a lot to the personality of the village itself. I feel like these people could almost be early settlers or colonists, and, having settled in this massive forest, had to use what was around them to fortify their settlement. It might be cool, when you expand the forest to the north, to include a patch of chopped-down trees.
Anyway, thanks for sharing, this is coming along great! I can't wait to see what's next. I think when you extend the dirt paths into the settlement itself, it will really start to come alive!

Continuing to work on my wooden walls and towers.
Typical Vagothian Village v6
All I did was work on the wall some more.
Typical Vagothian Village v7
I took a break from working on the wall and put in the gardens, paths, and the village buildings.
I still have a lot of work on the buildings though.
Its looking better and better - especially now that you have jiggled the houses into a more natural shape
Typical Vagothian Village v8
Finished off the detail work on the buildings and started adding some details.

After a lot of back-and-forth, I think I got the high ground looking okay for the top right corner.
I touched up my border some and I also added a small group of giant trolls for the villagers to play with.
