The white star means you previously read the thread and there are new posts.
The quill means you've already posted a post in the thread.
The blue tag means the thread has tags (key words).
I hope I'm not wrong ...
What do these mean?
Okay, I've been here for a while now, and I pretty much know most of the ins and outs of being a member of the Guild. But there are a couple of symbols floating around in some of these threads that have me somewhat baffled. I don't see them all the time, but I do see them enough that it's driving g me nuts not knowing what they are for.
Some posts have a white four pointed star. Others have what looks like a feather(quill). Then there are a few posts that have what looks like a little price tag with a blue stripe.
Can someone explain the significance of these symbols? Or is there a thread that explains them?

Just in case, if you're refrering of the feather (1 to 5) close to the "tag" symbol for key words, it's a thread rating system.

Ladiestorm, if you look down at the bottom of this page, there's a section that says "Tags for this thread". Right now, it's showing as None. However, take a look at J.Edward's Haerlech thread. Scroll down to the bottom and you see he's added a whole bunch of tags. Also, if you go to the forum home page, over on the right hand side, under the latest comments, there's a Tag Cloud. You can click on those tags and it'll show all maps where the creator has added a tag. Tags/key words are primarily a search engine optimisation tool to help people/search engines locate and categorise threads. You add words that are unique to your map.
I should also point you to the site's FAQ which has a lot of useful info. Here's the section on tags. Hope that's helpful.
