Lands of Gaia

Hello everybody,

Here I left another finished map. This time is a Final Fantasy IX inspired piece. The client wanted a map similar in shape to the game's lands but with bigger size, more details and several spots incorporated by client's request.

At the end I have to create almost all the coastlines from scratch (cause the client only provided a crap 600x567px overpixelated image and, apparently, in the web it's impossible to find a copy of the FFIX map bigger than 900x800) together with the biomes and rivers (details that the original designers of the game decided superfluous ).

This is the result:

Nice work Antonio!

Colours are a little strong for my tastes, but Final Fantasy often does use vibrant colours. Coastlines are very good indeed and the different land types are nicely displayed.

I like the first impression a lot. But at that resolution, i can't say more. Any chance you have a higher res. for the whole map? I'd love to see the details.

What i can add is this : i love the overall continental-shapes.

The land shapes are screaming "Final Fantasy", so excellent job on that .
Hard to say for the rest at this resolution, indeed. Maybe another close-up view of some more diverse region?

Another great piece! The mountains and the terrain overall look terrific, great work. I also really love the simple yet stylish border and the compass rose! The blue color of the ocean is a touch too bright for my taste, but then again, I usually like my oceans very very gray

Just out of curiosity, is this full resolution?

It's still too small to really see how your "stuff" really looks like, i'm afraid. I like the colors and shapes, as said but i can't give more constructive feedback based on this.
