    Default Henge Portal

This map was my entry to Shessar's gaming group's 35th anniversary battle map contest, which ran through September over on the Profantasy Forum for CC3 mappers.

The rules were simple, and included the specification that all textures and symbols should be part of the CC3 collection (so no ad-libbing here!). There was also a strict limitation on size, so this may be a little on the small side for some of you.

As Charles has already mentioned in his own thread the contestants are now permitted to show their maps elsewhere, so here it is

This was the first actual battle map I've ever deliberately drawn, and the first time I've ever used the lighting effects (another steep learning curve).

But they were very cool lighting effects.

Thanks - all of you I enjoyed playing with them, and will probably use them again and again now, till you're all really fed up with them! LOL

As the others have said, the lighting is what really stands out here. Well done.

    Thanks TheHoarseWhisperer

While I still have a lot to learn about the effects I have already used, I only have one more CC3 effect to try out, and that's the Spatial Matrix Process, which according to the description on the box, "allows you to define a multitude of different effects; blurs, displacements, edge effects, embossing and brightness/darkness". Its apparently used as a whole drawing filter, but I've been too busy with everything else to really have a play with it.
