Still think what is best, color or not color it.

That's a really interesting style of map, and I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it before! I think adding colour to it might help convey the Mayan style even better, especially if you choose a colour palette to suit it. Browns, oranges, reds and vivid blue, maybe?

I don't know, instead of colours you could play with contrast also. Maybe limit the colours but add lots of contrast.
It IS creative AND beautiful. Not easy to escape that madness of small details and enter the world of representations.

Great idea, looking forward to seeing the series. I think color could be nice but might not be too heavy handed with it. The color could help distinguish the series of maps from each other as well. Great job so far really like what your doing.
Love this! I hope you'll add some kind of color to it but the line work is very nice, too. Inspiring.

Color! I jused more earth color, the color is not allways realistic, so the mountains are green. Brown is the main color for the ground.
Thinking about the the next map...may be like in Babylon?
