Lyre Castle Ruins

I've just started a new building map in the current style I've been favouring. I redrew the old sketch I had made of it and I will include it on the final image like I did with the House of Rotten Grapes. This is just so you know what it looks like.

I also included a little sketch of the plan to give you an idea of how the map will look - that won't be on the final map.

Should have the first iteration of the map up shortly when it is more than a few solid black lines. =P

It's built on a lump of natural rock beside a brook. Also it's more fortified residence than true castle in the spirit of Tower Houses and the like. I've got a thing for small keeps, tower houses, and little castles rather than huge ones!

I got the basic wall lines in now. Time to do the details now.

Great work! I think I have said it before on a one of your maps before but I love the way you do the wall texture! The layout is really cool as well.

Sweet. Do you use a texture in the walls or are you hand drawing all those lines in all directions?

It's just a pattern Steffan posted here a while back. I just really like it.

Hey Larb,

Have you given any thought to this design since the posting? I'm curious about what you intended for the layout and how one would get from level to level (as there are no stairs yet on your map).
