My name is David, and I'm in Sydney, Australia. My journey here was via a few different reddit forums: Reddit Gets Drawn => Daily Sketch => Imaginary Maps, where I made a small map as drawing practice, as well as trying out some different coastline styles. My main interest is in decorative fantasy maps, but I have worked in a GIS company in the past. I'm also a prospective author, so maps fit in with that. I also design board games as a hobby.

This week I'm getting a second hand Cintiq which I plan to use for lots of drawing projects, including a few fantasy maps.

I've become a fan of Mike Schley's mapping style, and it sounds like I'm not alone in that.
