Thanks for the feedback guys! And because you're all so kind, I thought I'd share another update with you. A first set of forests, some boreal snow, and some other minor tweaks here and there.

Love it? Hate it? Anything's fine but let me know

The snow is terrific and I love it! As the rest of the map, I must confess .
At full resolution, I have the curious sense that the land is trapped in a multiple spider web...

Progressing nicely. Love the way you've made the forests enshroud the base of the mountains...sort of like the effect of fog.

I love the "curved" side of the regions between the rivers. It gives relief to these flat regions and with that, they attract the eye ! Really nice !

I keep revisiting your map for inspiration, Caenwyr. I really, really love how you did your ocean, from the coastal regions to the deeper portions in the corners, particularly the techniques for the colors you created- something I am working on in my current WIP. Perhaps when you have time, you would be willing to provide your thoughts on what you did to achieve the hues and what you did to make the transition from coast to "abyss"? I'm a beginner so even basic techniques would be a huge help!

Hey Chris, I might do a mini-tutorial on this someday, but I'm afraid I'm currently using all my spare time to actually work on this map, so no time left for side projects. I hope you understand!

Alright people, I finally managed to finish the forests! And I guess that means the geographical part of the map is FINALLY done! Phew! I've been working on this monster since October, and I'm still far from done. I'm starting to think I charged waay too little for this commission.

Yes I totally understand, Caenwyr, so no worries. I like the coloring/shading of the forests you've added, and particularly how you created your pines. Looking forward to the next iteration!

Great work, Caenwyr. I'm always impressed by your shading of the lands... I suppose you're gonna put the key/title in the bottom right? Otherwise, it will look a bit non-centered.
