Ok, Ok, I guess I'll throw my hat into the ring for this one...
Jan / Feb '17 Lite Challenge: Create a Treasure Map
So the obvious type of Treasure Map would be a pirates map. Or it could be a handout used by the players in a game like D&D. Or a fancy map that is used at a kids adventure park. Lots of movies with inspiration here, Goonies, The Count of Monte Cristo, Indiana Jones, National Treasure. So Many Possibilities. Or make it something unique or personal.
Map it any way you want to, any style any genre.. Whatever you prefer.
Use your imagination. Use your skills. Have some fun. Win a silver compass, you know you want one.
The Challenge will run until the 14th of February (more or less) and then there will be 3 days of voting. Someone is going to win a Shiny Silver Compass.
As usual, title your threads: " Jan / Feb '17 Lite Challenge: << your title here >> "
Don't forget to put the hashtag: ### Latest WIP ### in front of all WIP pictures, and especially in front of your final map. And don't forget, there is a new WIP button that automatically posts this for you. Try it, You'll like it!
And remember, if you put more than one image on the same post, only one of them gets picked up.
Quick rules reminder: The Lite Challenge is open to anyone who has not already won 3 Silver compasses, 1 Gold Compass, or been selected as a featured Cartographer's Choice Map.
Also, the map has to be started after the first day of the challenge, no reusing older maps even if they were not finished.

I've caught the bug to get that silver compass after the last challenge. So close, yet so far away...
Count me in for this one!
Edit: Sorry guys, I'll have to leave it till next month; life got in the way.

I don't have too much on my plate yet, why not this sounds like fun.
I should have my daughter join this one, we were having treasure hunts a couple weeks ago. We took turns hiding toys and drawing maps to find them. It was fun.

Hey Bogie, I've got a question. Are we allowed .gif files, animated pictures and are they accepted by the thumbnail tracker ? I've got an idea but I'm not sure it's permitted.
