    Honestly not really sure what this category is aiming for. Or indeed how these maps, although all wonderful, actually fit into it.

    I think that may be why the nominations are all so diverse. We all have our own idea of what constitutes 'creative'. I've already voted for the other two categories that Diamond has made available so far, but I'm going to have to spend some time considering this one! LOL!

    In my point of view, the most "creative" map would be the one that has the most unusual or bizarre map, or one that displays qualities hitherto unseen on this site. I would agree that this category is quite ambiguous though.

    If you go back and read the locked thread where these were nominated it will explain better what this category was supposed to be for.

    You mean this description?

    "This category exists to recognize maps that use unorthodox methods to achieve results. For example, someone that paints river stones as huts and then photographs them as a village, or someone who uses only various font styles to create a map."

    While it's true that none of the nominations really fit the description in the thread, it's not a big deal. You all felt these 11 maps were pretty creative, and that's what's important.
