Feb / Mar '17 Lite Challenge: HMS Harewood

So I decided to join in on the fun with an entry of my own. I came up with the HMS Harewood, an aeroship. It's basically just a sailing ship made for flight. I'll flesh out the details about the how and what later, but for now I just want to share my first sketch with you!

I wouldn't know! Come to think about it, I believe I heard someone say they're still looking for someone to command her. Perhaps anyone here is interested?

I've chosen to go with a different angle so you can see the layout of the ship better and I've also added a lot more details to the 'map'. I think it'll start to look more map-like in the next update (:

I was potentially thinking of entering this if I had the time, but since you're doing pretty much the same idea that I was going to do (I was aiming somewhere around Edge Chronicles and Treasure Planet) and you're making such a fine job of it, I think I might jsut sit back and watch your lovely ship unfold.

So I have turned her into an actual map so she actually qualifies for the mapping contest ;p I also threw a parchment texture in the mix to make the map look more appealing. I'm thinking of maybe adding some color as well, but I'm not sure yet. We'll see in the next update.

That is looking great. Once upon a time, almost 40 years ago, I was Lieutenant Dan, but not interested in the command! Unless there is Booty, then I'm in!
