Default A concept map for a game... Looking to get some feedback.

    Hi, everyone!

I'm working on a game in the RPG/Fantasy genre, I drew a concept map, it's the first map I've ever drawn, and I'd like to get some feedback. The names of places aren't established yet, still working on all of that. I would appreciate any thoughts, comments, critique, etc. Thanks!

That's a pretty promising piece ! I'm looking forward to see more development.

Looking good and quite promising, indeed! I'm not so fond of the line at the base of the trunks you did on some forests. It's better without it, imho.
The jungles and the mills are very nice!

I'd be interested to know what size are you trying to cover here, land-wise? Is it a full continent? It might just be my own preference, but I'd tone down on the size of the houses and other imagery that would be virtually impossible to notice at such a great distance, if you're mapping a full continent. I really like the style of the drawing though.

Reilith, the size is actually quite small... I eventually want to map a whole world, but for now, this is just a relatively small island. I don't have exact dimensions in mind yet, though. I want to use this map for an RPG game I'm pretty much working on by myself at this point, and in my spare time at that. This won't be a full-blown game, more like an introduction/demo that I hope will generate enough interest for some crowd funding and then maybe I can get a team together. Anyway, point being, since this is a solo project ATM, I'm trying to keep the scale fairly small.

Thanks for the feedback so far, everyone! I really appreciate it, it helps a lot!

Really quite good. Personally, the shape lines under some of the forest elements are rather distracting. It makes it look like there is an actual fence surrounding the forest with tree leaves spilling out over the top of the fence. There a is also a dichotimy with some of the line widths, specifically the land mass outline is rather thick and I would think it should be more consistent. Likewise a few of your mangrove style trees have a some pronounced line weight differences within the same tree structure.

Do you plan to color this? I can't wait to see this develop further.
