Would I be breaking the rules by re-working a rather terrible book cover I did for Children of Ethran?
This is the original. I was going to do a new version of it with a less prominent feather and a better map, but I can do that elsewhere if not here.

You know... in English Language classes back at school we used to have this monthly 'essay' to write - usually a fictional piece of no more than 10 double A4 sides (handwritten in those days, since we had no computers in the classrooms back then), and we would be given a list of titles to choose between, and a list of genre to go with it. We would be able to choose a title and a genre, and then write accordingly.
These are 6 titles that I clearly remember being reasonably popular. I don't know if they will be of any use to get the ideas flowing?

The rule is that you have to start the map or in this case bookcover after the challenge has been announced. There is nothing that says you cannot redo an old map. That means you would have start over, not just change some parts of the old bookcover. Since many of us use premade elements, that also means you could reuse some parts of the old cover as long as you are placing the elements down fresh.Originally Posted by Mouse

I think the cover will probably have to go through a complete redesign. I hadn't realised how cheesy it looked, but then I did it before I ever came here and saw what the pros could do
