Generating the background was mostly a matter of running a slight variation of the multi-resolution generation loop described in https://www.cartographersguild.com/a...chmentid=80066 using this mask:

I also put a little curved blob in the central part for a little interest inan otherwise empty spot. If I ever find the font that I used for the Wilbur icon way back in the mid 90's I will probably substitute a big W in there.

The coloring (leftmost band) is Wilbur's V2 shader, the lighting shader (the center band), and the Texture Shading shader (the rightmost band). The two other bands are a combination of those elements using multiply and opacity adjustments in Photoshop.
