There's a beaming mouse jumping up and down on the edge of your draughting table, and if you listen very carefully she's shouting...

    Colour! Colour!

Haha, well, I admit I've struggled to feel like I've nailed the colours for this one, but perhaps I've just been staring at it too long. Anyway here's a first (and maybe final) stab. Hopefully, I'll come back to it later today with fresh eyes and maybe some comment to work from.

Oh I love it. I love it, I love it, I love it

The colours are rich and hot. It's oozing fairytaleness at me. Who would have thought of a plum sky with an apple ground? Its as delicious as a pie!

The addition of colour makes the cover simply explode. It's great!

Wow! You know, I actually half thought you might colour it in tainotim style with subtle shades, as the art seemed somewhat similar in style to what he does, but you've pretty much done the opposite with bold, striking colours and it looks fantastic!

This book screams 'old school' at me and I'd absolutely love it on my shelf. It is one of the books I would definitely keep! If it existed. So you have to write it, publish it and hold a book signing where I can purchase a personalised, signed, first edition

    I love it!

Haha, I'll get onto that right away Straf!

Pleased the colours have gone down so well. ChickPea, I was tempted by Tainotim style as i really love his work, but thought I'd keep it different and bolder for a book!
