Voolf, this is simply stunning. Very well done. The whole piece is just...I can't think of any superlative that does it justice except to say every aspect is 1st class; line work, palette, shading, scale et al.
Haha, i will work on this Mouse.... Does 100 km2 of plain trees in different colours is enough? I think i am ready to do that.....
Really? I haven't noticed that at all. I was looking for some thin font and come across this one, so i used it for the very first time. I don't want to part with it so fast .
Well if you HAVE TO, i cannot do anything about it.... i guess i will live. . Thank you.
Thank you so much kacey. It may be hard for you to believe, but i so much like your maps too. Some of them are in my inspiration folder and i already looked at them several times to please my eyes.
As for the blending i like overaly because i can work both shade and light on one layer just switching the colour. I know some people say that overly tends to alter the colour too much. That is true, it works simillar to burn. But effect is much better if you stack 2 low opacity overly layers.
Working with Multiply and screen is somehow strange to me, because those two layers works exactly the same as normal layers for me. If i take all my multiply and sceen layers and change their blending mode to normal, for my eye nothing changes in the picture, i can do the very same wilh all layers as normal. At this point i dont see the benefit i could get from those two modes over normal one.
Thanks J.E. I like to work with Japanese too, but since i stopped using PS (which was the only software that could handle japanese properly) i have some difficulties to arrange the text. Especially when i make it vertical. Some signs are positioning wrong during typing, especially ー this one. If text is vertical this sign should also go vertical。I don't know if you are aware of this, but you have same thing in your Umi no Toride in words like ルーム, ガード.
Thanks Tom.
Thank you, took me long to make them.
Thank you ChickPea.
Thanks Straf.
I thought i lower the saturation of the pond enough... i will keep that in mind for next one.
I am sorry Straf, but sometimes i dont understand your humor :/. It may be cultural differences.

Um, wow. The line-work and shading in this piece are really top-notch. Just stunning!
Cheers,

I've postponed commenting on this masterpiece for too long. You manage to rival J.Edwards top down buildings and cities with a twist where, I already said it, I can see a Schley influence. Yet, you show something personal. Great ... no, not great, awesome performance here, Rafal !
Beautiful map!
Wonderfull work! Amazing! I love this
Absolutely beautiful, such precise linework, your trees are magnificent! Another inspirational piece.
This is technically stunning work Voolf. It was great to watch it slowly develop and build up to the wonderful finished piece it is now!
If I had to give any crit, like others have said, I feel like there could have been another green used in doing the trees to really make them pop with that blue, but otherwise this is marvellous stuff! Also, the English text isn't a patch on the wonderful Japanese script.
